Air Force One DFX Tour Black Driver

Powerbilt continues to push the envelope in club innovation with its patented Nitrogen N7 “Nitrogen Charged” technology in its new Air Force One DFX Tour Black driver. Powerbilt has been known for testing and tweaking Nitrogen levels on previous drivers, for the record, Nitrogen helps with the rebound effect of the club face. Not only will this produce more distance with increased speeds, but it will also give golfers far more consistency platform in the rebound of the face. With this nitrogen in the cavity, PowerBilt was able to create a thinner face. This helps create a club with no structural compromise and no “hot or dead” spots. Also, it will give the driver a bit of a softer sound. “We reduced the nitrogen pressure to 80 pounds, for better impact feel,” PowerBilt President Ross Kvinge explained. “This new amount of nitrogen generates a tremendous trampoline effect for increased ball speed. In fact, now the trampoline effect is up to the USGA maximum limit.

The cavity of the DFX (Deep Face Extreme) is filled with highly pressurized Nitrogen (80 pounds per square inch), which according to Powerbilt and independent testings has shown increases distance through a trampoline effect when the club face strikes the ball. This pressure allows Powerbilt to increase stability and strength without having to increase mass or weight. The trampoline effect of the club face is set to the maximum allowed by the USGA.

We were highly impressed with the overall performance found in this versatile driver. The Air Force One driver feels light in our hands and the result is faster swing speeds.

We tested the driver on a wind aided driving range at Woodmont Country Club and our drives averaged 293.7 yards with a longest one of 311.9 yards. Swing speed averaged 107.3 mph. This driver is definitely designed for better golfers who are willing to sacrifice a little forgiveness for longer drives on their best hits. And if you’re looking for value, the AFO DFX Tour’s $299 price point is hard to beat. Powerbilt Air Force One DFX Tour Black Driver comes packed with  Powerbilt’s patented “Nitrogen Charged” technology and backed by the strong and powerful Fujikura Pro 63 shaft. The AFO is sure to be a real contender, real performer mid 2014 driver entry. According to Powerbilt compressed nitrogen provides tremendous support to the club face so every golfer can benefit from maximum C.O.R., maximum C.T., maximum Trampoline Effect, and Maximum Smash Factor. Our simulator indeed showed incredible numbers and if you are in the market for a new driver you should include this one in your test list, you will be impressed!!
