1. Turnberry Isle’s Soffer Course – Aventura. Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., the Soffer Course was recently remastered by golf icon Raymond Floyd.  The result showcases the best of Florida golf, with contoured fairways, clever doglegs, rolling greens, perfectly carved bunkers, strategically placed water features and a variety of elevation changes players of any handicap levels. 2. The Biltmore Golf Course – Coral Gables. The Biltmore Golf Course, 6,800-yard, 18-hole, par-71, championship golf course,  was designed in 1925 by Donald Ross, a transplanted Scotsman who was the pre-eminent golf designer of his era. The course, acknowledged as one of the finest resort layouts in the South, has always attracted dignitaries, movie stars and sport luminaries. Variety, strategy and naturalness are the most consistent traits in a Ross design. 3. Miami Beach Golf Course – Miami Beach. Originally opened as Bayshore Golf Course in 1923 as part of pioneering developer Carl Fisher’s ambitious Alton Beach subdivision that was designed to lure wealthy winter residents from New York, Indianapolis and Detroit. 4. Normandy Shores Golf Club – Miami Beach. Normandy Shores Golf Club is a special place rich in tradition. The land for the golf course was donated to the City of Miami Beach by M. C. Gryzmish on January 4, 1928, a year later the City took position of the land and created what is know as Normandy Isle. Fast forward to 2008, the City of Miami Beach has spent over $9 million to  renovate the now spectacular Normandy Shores Golf Club. 5. Crandon Golf Course – Key Biscayne. Originally designed by Devlin/Von Hagge in 1972 and redesigned by Von Hagge in 1993, this 18-hole championship course is one of the top public golf courses in America. Crandon Golf Key Biscayne is considered one of the most beautiful and challenging par-72 courses in Florida. It was rated in the top ten courses by Golfweek, and recognized as one of America’s top 75 upscale courses by Golf Digest.
