TaylorMade R1 Black is available to the public in a 460-cc head and is identical to the white version in every way except for the color. Nike VR S Covert Tour Driver – Review
Red flashy looks combined with hi-performance Nike VR S Covert Tour Driver Nike claims that its newest driver: Nike VR S Covert Tour Driver, delivers unprecedented distance, control and forgiveness with the first-ever conforming high-speed cavity back design. High-speed cavity back technology delivers longer and straighter shots. Utilized in drivers for the first time, this technology positions the weight of the golf club at the heel and toe to enhance forgiveness and add even more distance to off-center shots. The result is more stability at impact for greater distance and control. Nike is able to achieve all enhancements via 3 technologies: 1st covert technology or big cavity back, takes weight from the center of the driver and displaces it to…

Taylormade R1 Driver – Review
Taylormade R1 Driver – Review TaylorMade Golf has truly taken driver tuning to the next level and in a couple of days will be the official launch of the Taylormade R1 Driver. One of the great features found in this new weapon from Taylormade is the ability to be adjusted from 8 degrees loft to 12. During our indoor test the R1 showed great numbers but it was in our outdoor test that the numbers and performance skyrocketed. The R1 driver has to be the best driver released to date by Taylormade Golf. The sound of the driver is solid (not to loud a ping), and the feel is just as solid. The driver is a few yards longer due…

Ping Anser Driver – Review
By: Ryan Heiman – Independent Golf Reviews Ping’s Anser for fitting today & tomorrow! Ping has been leading the industry in custom fitting for years. They offer some of the easiest and best custom fitting options in the industry. They have always wanted their customers to buy what fits them, not just clubs off the rack. I think that all golfers should get fit for their clubs too, everyone has a different swing. But what happens when you go in for a fitting and after a few weeks with a club your swing changes slightly, it would be nice to be able to alter the club to fit the new swing. Ping finally jumped into the adjustable driver game with the Anser driver. It fits very…

Review – Taylormade RocketBallz Driver
By: Fernando Solorzano First introduced back in March of this year the Rocketballz (RBZ) Driver has given its counter part R11S a run for its money. The very popular RBZ driver comes in two different performing shapes, one for the average golfer and one for the low handicap and golf professional. The RocketBallz used by average golfers has a larger face that translates into more forgiveness, while the RocketBallz Tour driver has a smaller face and it is designed for the more accomplished golfer. For this review we will concentrate on the RocketBallz used by average golfers (hcp 10 and up) TaylorMade has incorporated everything they have learned from the past into this new driver. Designing a simpler driver that…

Review – Taylormade R11s Driver
By: Ryan Heiman Independent Golf Reviews When I saw the first R11S commercials talking about how various PGA pros picked up yardage with their R11S vs. their R11 I was skeptical. I wondered how the best players in the world could see such gains. If they were properly fit, how could a new driver improve their numbers? After my testing the R11S I can see how this happened. Let me tell you now I had the R11 in the bag for much of 2011. It was a great driver and allowed me to test a whole plethora of shafts. The R11S has just some small changes to the head. The face is a little wider, the body is longer and…

REVIEWS – TAYLORMADE R11 DRIVER
Ryan Heiman – Independent Golf Reviews TaylorMade R11 Driver This Driver Would be good in any color The hit of the 2011 season has been the white driver. Taylormade first introduced us to the “Ghost” concept last year with the Corza Ghost putter. Since then they have painted just anything and everything white that they can. While white paint isn’t going to change the performance of a club, it will certainly get people’s attention. White paint isn’t going to keep this club in the bags of golfers, but its outstanding performance will. In all honestly they could have painted this driver any color and it still would be a great driver. The white paint is interesting. You’re immediately drawn to…
