Talented Bubba Watson wins 2nd Masters in three years…

Augusta, Ga – Watson put his ability and perseverance on full display Sunday, shooting a final-round 69 at Augusta National to pull away from Jordan Spieth on the back nine to win his second Masters in three years. Watson overcame a slow start and rallied from a two-shot deficit through seven holes to lead by two at the turn. Watson joins an elusive group as the 17th player to win the Masters more than once. ” … It’s a dream to have my family here and to win. Just to have my family here is a blessing. And then to put on another green jacket while they’re here, it’s pretty crazy.”

Watson wins

Bubba Watson is now 35 years old and as good a golfer as he will ever be we now see the emergence of second place finisher 20-year old Jordan Spieth. He came so close to become the youngest ever winner of the US Masters, Spieth would have shattered Tiger Woods’ record set in 1997.

Jordan Spieth

Spieth lost four strokes in two holes and made the turn with Watson up by two strokes. Spieth, slammed his iron into the turf after a disappointing approach shot to the par-4 10th that found a green-side bunker. That will turned out to be the difference as Spieth was unable to recover those lost shots in the back nine. The top 5 leaderboard…
